Dashboards, portfolios and interviews

Part of the Business Analytics learning and recruiting path. Read the explanation and example, attempt the task, then open the self-check.

Understand

Dashboards should support a decision. State definitions, refresh times and action implications. Portfolios should show the question, cleaning, method, findings, limitations and reproducible steps.

Worked example

Show funnel counts and channel mix alongside conversion. A shift towards lower-conversion channels may explain an aggregate decline.

Examples and numbers are educational, not employer questions, live market data or hiring criteria.

Practise and keep your output

Build a one-page dashboard and memo from public or synthetic data. Explain the decision and risks in three minutes.

Keep inputs and sources, assumptions, steps, results and uncertainties in your own document. Attempt independently before checking below.

After attempting: answer and self-check

Make sources traceable, steps reproducible and denominators explicit. Explain one error and how you detected it.
