CV, cover letter and application
Part of the Big Four & Professional Services learning and recruiting path. Read the explanation and example, attempt the task, then open the self-check.
Know what to learn for your role.
From foundations to a work sample, with sources, tasks and self-checks.
Understand
Extract responsibilities and requirements from the role, then map genuine experience to them. Explain your actions and evidenced outcomes. If numbers are unavailable, describe scope and deliverables. Connect role needs, company facts and personal evidence in the cover letter; check application fields and attachments.
Worked example
Replace “joined a club” with a truthful action such as cleaning registration records for three events, documenting duplicates and providing a check-in file. Include only details you can substantiate.
Examples and numbers are educational, not employer questions, live market data or hiring criteria.
Practise and keep your output
Create a requirement/experience/evidence/gap table. Rewrite three CV bullets, then log firm, role, document version, submission date and receipt.
Keep inputs and sources, assumptions, steps, results and uncertainties in your own document. Attempt independently before checking below.
After attempting: answer and self-check
Each bullet should explain your own action and verifiable result. Align files, language and dates with the form. Record successful submission separately from an interview.
