The role and the cycle

Hong Kong investment banking summer analyst programmes for the 2027 intake opened in March 2026 and ran through a June Superday. JPMorgan's Hong Kong class is small, hires across industry and country coverage, and converts most summer analysts into full-time offers.

The funnel was: application and CV screen, online assessment, HireVue, two first-round interviews, then a Superday. My outcome was an offer in late June 2026.

How the process actually ran

Application submitted 24 March 2026. Online assessment in early April. HireVue mid-April. First-round interviews in early May. Superday in mid-June. Offer call nine days after the Superday.

Total elapsed time from application to offer: about three months. The longest gap was between the first round and the Superday — five weeks of silence during which I assumed I was out.
