The role and the cycle

Goldman Sachs Hong Kong investment banking summer analyst, 2027 intake. Application mid-March 2026, online assessment late March, HireVue early April.

I cleared the assessment and submitted the HireVue, then received no first-round invitation. In the same cycle I converted a JPMorgan offer. The comparison between the two is the entire value of this report.

How the process actually ran

Applied 16 March 2026. Online assessment late March. HireVue submitted early April. Portal status changed to closed in late April.

The whole thing ended in six weeks, and it ended while I was preparing for a different firm's first round.
