Year 3: an internship and research in the same term

In the third year of a bachelor's degree you can look at an internship and at research in the same term. They are not one table, and they are not a fourth product. Internships, roles, and the career plan stay in Find work and the monthly career plan. Supervisors, groups, and research applications stay in My research. Do not enter a supervisor as a job, and do not enter an internship as a research opening.

Write three dates, and leave a missing one unknown

1. The date you will actually submit internship materials this round. If you have not chosen a role, write "not yet chosen". Do not invent a deadline, and do not invent a time of 23:59.
2. The next reply or meeting a group has already agreed. If nobody has agreed, write unknown. Unknown is not a refusal and not a place.
3. If you are considering a research master's: write in one sentence why. If you cannot, the cell stays "not yet clear". Do not start that application only because the title contains the word research. Do two weeks on a project you already have, or make one small work sample for a role. Choose one. Do not open two formal applications while the purpose is still blank.

A taught master's, a research master's, and a job internship remain different next steps. This note does not choose for you. It only keeps a blank purpose blank.

When both land in the same week

If internship materials and a reply to a group fall in the same week, keep the one thing that must happen that day. Move the other to the next gap you can name. If there is no gap, postpone the thing you have not promised.

A small task you already agreed with a supervisor, and an application you already submitted, are promises. An interest you have not written down, and an application you have not opened, are not. A polite reply is not a promise unless it names something you must finish on a date.

Eligibility, materials, and deadlines for a research degree are whatever that programme's official page says for that year. This note does not copy university dates, and it does not merge an initial funding application with the full application to a chosen university.

What this note does not schedule

It does not build a university timetable, decide whether a startup belongs in the term, or turn a survey answer into an example. Looking at both directions is allowed. Looking at both is not the same as recording them as one application.
