Community forum
Community guidelines.
A forum is only useful if a stranger can trust what they read. These rules apply to every category, including anonymous posts.
What this forum is for
- Ask questions about a specific lesson, tool, expert case, project, company, role or career decision; answer someone else; share a deliverable for review; correct a factual error.
- Official Academy lessons, tool profiles and expert cases are editorial content. Forum answers are peer opinion, even when the author has a verified university email.
- Verified Experience threads are access-restricted. The paid text must never be copied into a public post, and neither must a private career profile.
What must not be posted
- API keys, tokens, cookies, passwords, private keys, full offer letters, student IDs, phone numbers or employer documents.
- Guaranteed-offer claims, paid referrals, resale of interview content, doxxing, harassment, or material you do not have the right to publish.
- Confidential interview questions or internal documents. If in doubt, describe the category of the question rather than reproduce it.
Identity and badges
- A “University verified” badge proves only that the account controls an email address at a supported university domain. It does not prove enrolment, an offer or the truth of a claim.
- “Offer Verified” is a separate experience-level verification. The forum never turns a school badge, a like count or a community score into an offer verification.
- Anonymous display is available for sensitive questions. The account remains bound in the backend and moderators can act on it.
Reputation
- Community points record helpful marks and accepted answers. They are not employer recognition, a credential, a completion certificate or a hiring probability.
- Do not ask for or offer votes. Reputation is not a trading asset.
Moderation and response targets
- Reports are reviewed by a human operator. Target first response: within 2 business days. Credential leaks, private information and credible threats are treated as urgent, with a target of 24 hours.
- These are operating targets, not guarantees. This environment has not run a live moderation rota; the queue, audit trail and escalation path exist.
- Actions include hide, restore, lock, pin, move, merge, delete (soft), warning and account suspension. Every action is appended to an audit log and the affected author is notified in-app.
Corrections and appeals
- If a lesson or tool page is wrong, start a topic in “Resources, Corrections & Feedback” with the page, the quoted text and the evidence. A moderator can turn the issue into an editorial review; community text never becomes official fact automatically.
- If a moderation decision affects you, use the private appeal form on the decision notice. Appeals are visible only to you and moderators.
- Removal requests for copyright or private information are handled through the same report path and documented in the audit log.
Privacy
- Public threads may be indexed by search engines. Drafts, pending posts, private appeals, restricted threads and paid experience text are not indexed and not included in search results for unauthorised readers.
- Account data exports and deletion requests follow the platform privacy process; forum posts may be retained in anonymised form where necessary for moderation history.
