Compare offers and review the search

I have competing options or stalled applications and need a decision.

Change direction and availability

A conditions table and evidence-based review.

2026-10-26.2 · 40 minutes estimated; work in several sessions

Saved on this device; sign in to import explicitly.

Next · 5–15 minutes

Spend ten minutes separating confirmed terms and unknowns for one option.

Prerequisites and goal

Written terms or application records; an offer is not required for process review.

Start with diagnostics; skip explanations you can already apply independently.

Compare like with like

Separate fixed pay, conditional rewards, time, work, training and exit terms. Label oral discussions and written terms differently. Check current official sources and the contract for eligibility, immigration, tax or employment questions, recording status and date rather than copying a peer's outcome.

Review the application process

Track stages and dates with clear definitions. Silence is not an explicit rejection, and small counts cannot identify causes. Check eligibility and evidence when applications stall before interview; inspect recorded answers and feedback after interviews. Choose one justified change and retain comparison conditions.

Worked example · fictional

From a problem to inspectable work

Fictional: A has lower fixed pay and clear training; B advertises a higher package with unclear bonus terms.

  1. Align fixed pay and confirmed terms; do not count conditional rewards as guaranteed.
  2. Ask targeted questions about training, responsibilities and unclear terms.

Clarify B's bonus conditions and responsibilities, then compare affordability and learning goals, retaining unknowns.

Failure case and repair

Count every silence as rejection and conclude the CV is the cause.

Mixed states and causal assumptions lead to poor changes.

Separate pending, rejected and feedback received; inspect observable gaps.

Glossary
Evidence and inference
Evidence is traceable material or observation; inference is an interpretation requiring assumptions.
Transfer practice
Apply the method independently in a new situation, checking which conditions have changed.
