Nine to six, in one minute. While the boss has their back to you, the time is yours.

Hold the button (or Space) to scroll your phone; let go and you are hard at work. The boss always makes a sound before turning round: footsteps, a cough, a creaky chair, the door handle. Hear it, let go. Some sounds are false alarms. Get caught three times and the day ends early.
